Head out towards the M3 Motorway along the A316 Chertsey Road. Make a left at the A312 Uxbridge Road in the direction of Hampton and follow this road through a set of traffic lights (Sainsburys on your right), a mini roundabout, pedestrian lights, another mini roundabout until you come to a T Junction with traffic lights. Make a right and continue until you reach a T junction by the river. Make a left and the Cardinal Wolsey pub will be seen on the right hand side of the road after about a mile.Just before the pub is a right turn into the car park of the Charlton Hotel.
At the end of the M3 Motoway (Junction 1 at Sunbury) make a right and follow the A308 Staines Road towards Kingston. Follow the road past Kempton Park Race Course, through Hampton Village and the Cardinal Wolsey pub will be seen on the right hand side of the road after about a mile. Just before the pub is a right turn into the car park of the Charlton Hotel.
From the roundabout on the North side of the Thames by the Main Gates of Hampton Court take the A308 towards Hampton. The Cardinal Wolsey pub will be seen on the left hand side of the road after about three hundred metres. Just after the pub is a left turn into the car park of the Charlton Hotel.
Trains run to Hampton Court Station from Waterloo. They are to be found at the southern end of Waterloo (platforms 1 to 7). Cross the river on Hampton Court bridge.
